Iberdrola You’ve never heard of it. But someday this Spain-based company could run your air conditioner. Iberdrola is the world’s largest renewable energy company, and it’s interested in purchasing Energy East, which happens to own NYSEG as well as Rochester Electric & Gas. On April 15th “initial briefs” on the case were filed — which basically means that interested parties get their say on the issue. You can read these briefs by Iberdrola & PSC On April 25th, an administrative law judge will read the “replies” to these initial briefs. –I have no trouble with foreign ownership of US business, but think there should be some limits placed on foreign ownership of US infrastructure and media.
